How Florence gives mental health patients independence? (2:34)
‘If he feels anxious, in bed, in the middle of the night, he looks at the texts and that reassures him.’
Asperger’s Syndrome Patient’s Mum
A patient story on the local TV News. A local news channel featured Florence within one of their news stories about a patient with Asperger’s using assisted technology to support him with his anxiety. The patient was only used to getting 3 hours sleep a night due to his anxiety of locking doors and not feeling secure, until he started to use Florence and receiving his texts messages reassured him and now, he has 8-9 hours sleep a night. Nottingham Social Services are now looking to expanding the Florence service for Dementia patients and people with learning disabilities, to allow them to live more independently. Costing them as little as 54p a week.
